Canteen Support For Young People

Overview

Canteen supports young people aged 12 – 25 who are dealing with; having cancer themselves or a parent or sibling being diagnosed with cancer or the death of a parent or sibling from cancer. Canteen is here to help your school in three ways;

  • Cancer Awareness Program – this program is for secondary students to learn about what cancer is, how to lower their risk of cancer in later life, the kinds of impacts cancer can have and how to help when someone they know is affected by cancer.
  • Make a referral – if a student is dealing with a close family member’s cancer or their own diagnosis, you can refer them to Canteen so that they can access our specialist services.
  • Resources – you can order free Canteen resources, including booklets aimed at classmates and friends, to provide to your students and school community.
