Be You Term 3 ACT and surrounds Spotlight sessions

Educators and school leaders are invited to attend one or both of the sessions below. This online series aims to enhance staff capabilities in understanding the mental health concerns of students; ways to promote and support help-seeking behaviors; gain valuable insights; explore tools and resources to foster a more inclusive and supportive school environment.

Spotlight Session 1 - Self-harm in primary and secondary settings. 

This session will:

  • Share understandings of self-harm in the school context
  • Explore the Be You Mental Health Continuum
  • Build an understanding of the NIP (Notice, Inquire, Provide) framework in responding to self-harm
  • Discuss the importance of educator wellbeing

Spotlight Session 2 - Supporting student anxiety and self-regulation at school.

This session will: 

  • Provide information about anxiety
  • Identify strategies to support student anxiety
  • Discuss identifying early support using the NIP (Notice, Inquire, Provide) framework
  • Unpack the Window of Tolerance and the power of co-regulation
  • Share classroom strategies for helping students to regulate
