The Critic’s Choice program has successfully been run for 16 years to help prevent the uptake of smoking and encourage young people who do smoke to quit. Most adults who smoke first tried cigarettes when they were teenagers. That’s why preventing uptake during adolescence is critical to ending the harm caused by cigarettes.
ACT schools can vote for the ad their students think is the most effective anytime during the year. Each year Cancer Council ACT offers incentives and prizes for ACT schools to get behind the Program and vote. Check it each year around September and October.
