The Critics' Choice is an initiative coordinated annually by the Australian Network on Young People And Tobacco (ANYPAT) as part of a strategy to reduce the prevalence of tobacco smoking amongst young people.
We have 12 new advertisements from around the world for you to watch, free teacher’s resource, current background information on smoking in Australia and the opportunity for your students to vote on their favourite ad.
The objective of The Critics' Choice is for students to view advertisements and think about the different issues surrounding tobacco use. Students are then encouraged to complete activities from the teacher's resource and finally vote for the ad they think is the most effective in discouraging young people to smoke. Remember, the more students that vote, the more chances your school has of winning.
